Touching Real: The Art of Being You

There’s a quiet ache that sneaks in during our fifties and beyond. We often follow it into a gentle grieving, wrapped in memory. We drift into the past, chasing moments we once lived, wondering if we appreciated them enough, if we made the right choices, or if we missed something essential. It’s a tender kind of lament, this pursuit of what was. And while it can feel comforting, it can also leave us feeling like a cup half full—tethered to stories that are done, completed. You can’t change them now.

But what if this yearning ache is more than a call to revisit the past?
What if it’s your spirit waving a big green flag to get your attention?
A sacred nudge—not to long for what was, but to reclaim the pieces of yourself you left behind?

This season of life—this very moment—isn’t about rewinding. It’s about reweaving.
Pulling forward the threads of your spirit—the ones you buried to survive or to belong—and inviting them back into your wholeness.

Being here, still breathing, still curious, is a radical gift.
It means there’s still time to discover the More of you—to become your truest expression.
Not polished. Not perfect. But Real. Fully lived. Fully seen. Fully felt.

You’re not done. Far from it.

 The sweet time is now.

Make this life your masterpiece.

What to Say When…

Riding on a sunbeam, out of nowhere, clear as a bell, God asks you, “How’s your relationship with that body I gave you?

What?!?

Am I supposed to be in some special relationship with my body? Why didn’t anyone tell me? Why have I never heard about this before? But hey, it’s God, so get your act together!

As your brain kicks back in, recuperating from the initial shock of (why is God talking to me? How is this happening? Did I just have a mini-stroke?), you realize you’re pedaling fast, jumping to your defense: I give it really good food. I walk about 4 times a week and try to drink a lot of water, do yoga and sometimes hit the gym. Is that what you meant? Is that what you were asking about?

Patient, kind and chuckling a bit under His breath, God continues:

My question is, are you enjoying living in your body? Does a quiet smile spread across your face as a breeze sweeps your cheek? Did you even notice the breeze? Do you delight in the sway of your hips? Do you allow your hips to sway? Do your feet press the earth gently when you walk? Does your breath rise and fall with the grace of one who loves from the depth of their being, the entirety of their being? Are you delighting in quiet allowance, kindness and rich laughter that resonates through the bones?

Have you engaged in these many gifts?

Have you discovered your Truth bell? Do you recognize the voice of Intuition? Is your tongue soft as it speaks your truth? Are you aware of the thoughts that churn in your belly, apparently indigestible? What do you do with them? Are you relishing these embodied moments?

No?

What’s that you say? You live more in your head? Like all the time? Hmmm… Well, you certainly can. I gave you free will. So, let me just say this, the body was designed to embody ALL that your life IS. In other words, it carries within vibrant tools of communication, not just for self-awareness, but also to remain in touch with me. That’s right – if you choose.

Your body is the embodiment of you by name, AND, much more importantly, the embodiment of your soul, unique and divine. This gives you the opportunity to Know your soul… and living from your soul’s resonance is where self-awareness meets discernment. This is the ever-evolving understanding of your authentic nature made possible through our connection. It is, as well, how you find your place in the “big picture”, so to speak – your purpose.

Come. Let’s explore the wonder of you as you abide in, with and through this gifted body. Relish the sensations. Laugh at the crazy.

Welcome to your life, experienced as it has been gifted to you – in companionship with Me – in, with and through the body. I look forward to our time together.
